Young Adult Retreat 2026

Register Here

As Young Adults, we all crave a vibrant life with God and a crew of friends who truly "get" us, yet somehow the city grind and our daily habits often leave us feeling more stuck than inspired. It’s easy to get caught in the gap between the life we want and the one we’re actually living, but this retreat is our chance to stop the "autopilot" and get honest about what's holding us back. Join us for a weekend of laughter, deep connection, and real talk as we ditch the spiritual ruts and discover how Jesus closes the gap to draw near to us, calls us to something greater, and how we might respond to His vision in new, lasting ways.

WHO: 20s and 30s Somethings
WHERE: We will be going to Pinebrook Retreat Center in East Stroudsburg, PA
HOW MUCH:
$250, shared rooms with hotel-style private bathroom

For single rooms inquiries or any other questions, please contact rachelle@hopechurchnyc.org.

*Cost includes transportation, lodging for 2 nights, 5 meals (3 meals on Saturday and 2 meals on Sunday).

**Scholarships are available upon request - please don't let cost be an issue!  We'd love to have you there. Contact rachelle@hopechurchnyc.org to inqure about scholarships**

Machines as Friends: A Christian Examination of AI Companionship

Machines as Friends: A Christian Examination of AI Companionship

Join us for a lecture from a Christian perspective on artificial intelligence and how it is reshaping our understanding of human connection.

Drawing from years of supporting those most affected by cultural and technological shifts—particularly people with disabilities and others who experience social isolation—Andrew Oliver, Founder of Do For One, approaches this topic as a practitioner of relationship-building.

This talk takes a critical yet nuanced look at AI from a Judeo-Christian perspective, while warmly welcoming people of all worldviews into a thoughtful examination of what authentic relationships and thriving communities require.

The event will include refreshments, a 45-minute lecture followed by discussion, and a chance to meet like-minded people.

Women's Faith Conversations: Casting Vision for The New Year w/ Amanda Florian

Register HERE

Join our Hope Soul Sister's (quarterly) Sunday Women's Faith Conversations where we explore the intersection of our faith and real world topics.

This month, we're excited to have Amanda Florian (our Hope East Village location Worship Director) share her experience about what it means to be a "creative" as God's children; she believes that we are all creatives, even those who don't think they are.  Amanda will talk about casting vision for the new year,  inviting God into that process and how God can speak into our creativity and creative works.

About Amanda (singer-songwriter, journalist, filmmaker, director)

Amanda has a background in entertainment. She has been singing almost her entire life starting at the age of three. She began voice lessons at the age of eight studying classical Italian, but she also explored other musical genres like musical theatre, pop and jazz!

It makes sense that Amanda also became a freelance international journalist. Growing up, she was always asking questions. Having previously lived in China for almost two years, Amanda is also passionate about language and culture. "I've always had a deep interest in language. I really love travel and culture because I feel like I'm exposed to other people. It's such a beautiful experience." Amanda, who is half-Puerto Rican, got her Master's in New Media Studies and has a BA in Journalism and Film.

Speaking about her faith, Amanda is grateful for her Christian upbringing: "Faith wise, I grew up in the church with Christian parents! I feel very blessed to have Jesus in my life and wouldn't have it any other way."

Join us to hear more of Amanda's Faith/Career journey to be inspired for your own and pick up some tips on casting vision for the new year, inviting God into that process.

Refreshments will be provided!

Sign up today so we know how many to prepare for!
